Raft of Leaves

Aging, dying, foreignness and friendship were personal and academic interests of Marti Parker, a professor of social gerontology at Karolinska Institutet. With humor and insight, Parker wrote short fiction and poetry and published two novels under the pen names M. Gale Parker and Martha Gale. Raft of Leaves: On Aging, Death and Foreignness gathers some of her writings, along with the writing of Annie Norell Beach, Cas Blomberg, Amy Brown, Paul Burns, Gary Clarke, Sara Hendey, Pat Pegg Jones, Kimberly Kane, Indra-Jeet Mistry, Marti Parker, Ron Pavellas, Judy Petersen, Renate Walder and Elizabeth Clark Wessel.
