Linda writes for children and young adults and is the author of nine published picture books: A Gift For Mama (Knopf Books for Young/Random House), Wakey, Wakey Elephant (Sterling Children's Books), The Queen is Coming to Tea (Sourcebooks Jabberwocky), Painting Pepette (Little Bee/Bonnier), Little Red Riding Sheep (Atheneum Books for Young), Hold That Thought, Milton! (Gullane/Parragon Books) and The Busy Life of Ernestine Buckmeister (Flashlight Press). In 2023, Flipflopi: How a Boat Made from Flip-flops is Saving the World (Beaming Books) and When We Left Home (Albert Whitman), will be published. In 2024, Linda’s quirky book for young ones, Babies Are Not Bears (Reycraft Books), will also hit bookshelves. Her books have won numerous awards, been reviewed by The Horn Book, The School Library Journal and Publisher’s Weekly, appeared on New York Times lists as well as translated into multiple languages.
While she is originally from New York, Linda has lived a large part of her life in Europe. When her head is not full of whimsy, she works as Head of Communications for Global Child Forum, a Swedish Royal foundation with a focus on children's rights within the corporate sector. She's also fond of heavily frosted cupcakes, snapping photos and doing ballet in her kitchen.
