Born in Ireland in 1970, Gary Clarke has been writing on and off for over 20 years. Not literally- his vocabulary includes more than three words.  He has written for screen and radio but prefers writing for the stage. Gary has directed a number of plays, many of which were his own work. Two productions which he directed, “Hey Hey Good-looking” and “Stepping Out of a Dream” won awards at the international theatre festival F.E.A.T.S. These productions were in collaboration with the theatre group The Stockholm Players. “Hey Hey Good-looking” and another play “Blues for Billy” were produced by Soho Theatre, London. He currently works as a teacher of English and Drama at a high school here in Stockholm, where he lives with his wife and family.
